The culture at Banner Estrella Medical Center focuses on patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement. With Banner Health being a large healthcare system, challenges may arise from variations in unit cultures, staffing pressures, and differing levels of evidence-based practice competence among nurses. Tailoring an intervention to fit the unit’s needs increases the likelihood of staff engagement, reduces disruption to care, and ensures change is feasible. Additionally, ensuring that higher-authority roles/interdisciplinary team members, such as physicians, are on board with the implementation (Pitsillidou et al., 2021).
