The goal was to create a safe and efficient space that maintains sterility while protecting both the products and the staff. The lab includes an Ante Room for handwashing, gowning, and material preparation before entering the clean area. There is also a pass-through window to move supplies without contaminating the sterile zone. The Buffer Room contains the Laminar Airflow Workbench (LAFW) or Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC), where the actual compounding takes place under ISO Class 5 conditions. A pressure gauge ensures positive pressure toward the ante room, helping to keep contaminants out. Other important areas include the Clean Storage Area, where sterile ingredients and supplies are kept in a refrigerator (2–8 °C), a Waste Area with separate bins for biohazard and general waste, and a PPE Storage Area where gowns, gloves, and masks are kept. A sticky mat is placed at the entrance to reduce dirt and particles from entering the lab. Discussion Use of Results / Aseptic Technique: Our design supports aseptic technique by keeping a clear separation between clean and dirty areas. The laminar airflow hood provides continuous filtered air to protect sterile products, while positive air pressure and restricted entry help maintain sterility. Precautions / Possible Errors: Errors could occur if staff do not wash hands properly, skip gowning steps, or fail to maintain the airflow equipment. Poor waste handling or not monitoring humidity and temperature can also affect sterility. Limitations: Some limitations include the high cost of equipment, limited space for installation, and the need for regular maintenance to keep the environment compliant.
