Data Analysis for Research Project (please this is my year’s research project) Below is the information from 3 different articles Article 1. Hashemi et al. (2020) Hashemi et al. (2020) conducted a meta-synthesis of 41 qualitative studies to explore the barriers and facilitators to accessing primary healthcare services for people with disabilities in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Their work highlights how cultural stigma, lack of health information, financial hardship, and logistical challenges significantly restrict access to healthcare. The study emphasizes the need for targeted interventions that address these interconnected barriers and calls for stronger integration of disability support within primary healthcare systems. The context of their research is global, covering various LMICs across Africa, Asia, and South America, providing a broad overview of structural and systemic inequalities. Article 2. Adugna et al. (2020) Adugna et al. (2020) carried out a scoping review focusing specifically on barriers and facilitators to healthcare access for children with disabilities (CwDs) in low- and middle-income Sub-Saharan African countries. Drawing from 15 selected studies, they found that poverty, stigma, lack of transportation, inadequate healthcare infrastructure, and untrained healthcare professionals were the primary barriers. Facilitators included positive family and community support, as well as greater disability awareness. Their study contextualizes healthcare access as being deeply shaped by socioeconomic conditions and cultural perceptions within countries that allocate less than $50 per capita to healthcare, making it an important review for targeted policy improvements. Article 3. Said et al. (2024) Said et al. (2024) conducted a scoping review of 27 qualitative studies to identify barriers to healthcare access among people with physical disabilities (PWPD). Their findings reveal five major types of barriers: personal factors (such as fear or shame), financial constraints, attitudinal and communication barriers from healthcare providers, health system weaknesses, and physical infrastructure challenges. The study emphasizes the global nature of these issues, with a focus on countries across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Australia. It underscores the urgent need for disability-inclusive health systems and advocates for public awareness campaigns and healthcare staff training as key strategies to promote equitable access. From the above information provide the following. 1. Overview of included studies (study characteristics and context). 2. Data analysis: Use thematic analysis to categorize findings into barriers and facilitators of accessing PHC services. Make sure to explain and elaborate all your findings. 3. Synthesis: Integrate data to develop evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.
